Nice to see there's still life after the hotel folded. It's now a seniors home.
Sure miss the Fountain Court Room days and the all-you-can-eat weekend buffets.

My great uncle V. Bardessono was a partner in the Empire Hotel. He was married to my great aunt Charlotte Lessard. My father and mother moved to Timmins during the depression and my father was hired as a bartender. They lived in the upper floors and they had a dog which when my dad made the rounds would send the dog barking down all the floors to scare any robbers away. He always spoke of the long wooden bar and how fancy the front entrance was. nice to see the old building. robyn valentine
